About us

Baker Joe’s Bread Company is a family owned gluten free home bakery based in Gladstone, MO.  

Both AnnMarie and Joe were raised on Long Island, NY where local bakeries were in every town and in every shopping mall. The smell of fresh baked goods was always in the air. When we moved to the midwest we missed that about our former home.

Most of our family cannot eat foods with gluten in them and the gluten free processed breads available in supermarkets were expensive and not of a quality that we wanted to eat or serve. With that being the case, we experimented with different recipes and techniques and after quite a few failures we figured out what worked and started baking a few days a week for our family. Those breads for family eventually turned into bread for friends and then we were offered the chance to teach classes. After a while, it was suggested that we open a business and sell our bread to the public and Baker Joe’s Bread Co. was born.

We maintain a completely gluten-free facility, with absolutely no gluten products in our home.
